Established in 2018 as The Trailer of Trash, we started initially as a community-oriented mobile Repair Cafe and Upcyclery. We evolved slowly and intentionally into the landfill diversion and waste redistribution community-driven organization we are today. About 75% of the stuff we collect is freely redistributed back to the community and another 15% is upcycled by our hui of small business owners & makers, the remaining 10% is fixed and reused.

Said simply, we keep things moving. 

We are engaging, connecting, and promoting what people are already doing to reduce consumption and divert waste by connecting the dots in Maui's circular economy. We firmly believe that when we tend to our things, we tend to each other.

Our business model is cooperative in nature. We are supported by a small grant from Maui County Department of Environmental Management, fiscally sponsored by Grants Central Station, and sustain ourselves through trade and gifts from the community.
